Authentication and Grading Information

The meaning, limits and record treatment of LOREVOR authentication conclusions and 0.0–10.0 condition grades.

POLICY ADMINISTRATION

LOREVOR maintains this document as part of its public operating record. Questions may be directed through the contact form or by mail to 36295 Frida Mews, Acalanes Ridge, California.

LOREVOR does not rely on the trust system of an independent third-party grading company. Authentication and grading are internal controls within the LOREVOR product and record system: eligible products are reviewed, scored and approved under LOREVOR procedures before release. A public record identifies the eligible LOREVOR product, applicable conclusions and the standard version used.

Eligibility, evidence requirements and presentation vary by object type. Not every collectible, document, autograph or condition issue is eligible for a numeric result or public record, and a product may be withheld when evidence or condition does not support a reliable release decision.

Authentication considers the object, signature or associated documentation within the scope stated in the applicable record. A conclusion reflects the information and examination available at the time. It is not a guarantee of ownership, legal title, complete provenance, future acceptance by another evaluator or the absence of every undiscovered issue.

When evidence is insufficient, inconsistent or outside the applicable program, LOREVOR may decline to publish a positive conclusion, may limit the stated scope, or may withhold the product from public verification.

The public LOREVOR condition scale runs from 0.0 through 10.0. Eleven whole-point anchors define the principal condition levels, and a half-point may be used when the complete condition profile is reasonably situated between two adjacent anchors. A score is a concise condition designation, not a mathematical promise that every component has the same quality.

A 10.0 designation represents the top published condition standard. A 0.0 Unscored Condition result means that a meaningful positive condition score cannot be assigned because of the object’s state, incompleteness, alteration, obstruction or extreme damage. A 0.0 condition result is not, by itself, an authentication conclusion.

Centering, Corners, Edges and Surface are maintained as distinct fields where relevant to the object format. The overall grade is reasoned from the complete object and is not necessarily the arithmetic average of the four fields. A field may have different significance depending on whether the object is a card, poster, signed flat, memorabilia item or special format.

Manufacturing characteristics, production tolerances, handling evidence, restoration, trimming, alteration, stains, creases, missing material and other conditions may affect eligibility or outcome. The published standard controls over abbreviated marketing descriptions.

An autograph result remains separate from the physical object’s overall condition grade. When eligible, an autograph may receive a numeric Autograph Grade. Authentic Only is a conclusion mode used when the autograph conclusion is recorded without a numeric autograph grade.

Neither mode automatically raises or lowers the object condition score. The absence of a numeric autograph grade should not be interpreted as a negative condition result unless the record expressly states an additional limitation.

Each published record should remain associated with the standard version applied when the conclusion was issued. A later editorial clarification or revised standard does not silently rewrite a historic result. When a material correction or reassessment occurs, the record should identify its current status and preserve appropriate revision context.

Images, measurements and written descriptors are explanatory aids. Display calibration, lighting, magnification and image compression can affect how a condition appears online; the public page does not substitute for the recorded examination.

Authentication and condition information do not establish a sales price, replacement value, rarity, liquidity, future appreciation or investment suitability. Market participants may weigh condition, subject, provenance, format, demand and other factors differently.

LOREVOR does not guarantee that a buyer, seller, insurer, auction platform, marketplace or another grading organization will agree with a conclusion or assign the same commercial value.

A record may be suspended or withdrawn if a holder, label or number appears altered, duplicated, transferred to another object, separated from the applicable product, or used in a misleading listing. Damage after publication does not automatically update the recorded condition and may make the displayed result no longer representative of the object’s current state.

Users should treat discrepancies as a reason to pause a transaction and contact LOREVOR. A screenshot, copied number or isolated label is not a substitute for comparing the complete physical product with the live public record.

A person requesting review should provide the full LOREVOR number, clear images of the complete object and label, a description of the disputed field, and supporting documentation relevant to the issue. LOREVOR may request additional information before deciding whether a public correction is appropriate.

A correction request does not guarantee a changed result. LOREVOR may compare the submission with the internal examination record, recorded images, applicable standard version and product status, and may correct, annotate, suspend, supersede or retain the existing public record according to the evidence.
